Shochu is served
Shochu can be enjoyed in a variety of ways; deciding how to drink it is completely up to the individual. This choice is based on personal preference, and how the shochu complements the corresponding palate.
Many bars and restaurants in Japan offer customers a recommendation. Not to mention, many shochu producers have begun placing their own serving recommendations on their labels. This may sound a bit absurd, but it is a way for companies to assure that their product is being enjoyed in the best possible way. Some shochu does taste better when served a particular way.
